Innovate Memphis

Founded in 2012 as the Mayor’s Institute for Excellence in Government, Innovate Memphis was one of the first five innovation teams funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies. The Innovate Memphis team now serves the City of Memphis and other public sector partners, as well as collaborates with diverse stakeholders across public, private and non-profit sectors. Simply, we connect the dots between sectors, create tactical strategies and collaborative opportunities, and seek ways to improve communities and neighborhoods throughout our city and region. We are proud to be a unique hybrid civic innovation office, incubator, research and development think tank, and trusted agent of positive change. We develop initiatives, nurture partnerships and incubate solutions to move Memphis forward and deliver impactful, sustained transformation.
