Life-changing Adventures

Camp Amnicon offers amazing wilderness canoe and backpack programs to youth and adults of all backgrounds, family camp and year round group and individual retreats. But Amnicon is much more than a summer camp. To those who know the ministry better, Amnicon is a life-changing experience of Christ-centered community and a rich environment for personal and spiritual growth and leadership development. At Amnicon, cooperation and teamwork become a lifestyle, and friendships are nurtured in a spirit of respect for one another and care for the earth.

Outdoor Ministry for All

Roughly 50% - 60% of Amnicon's campers are considered to be "at-risk". These youth may be:

-emotionally or behaviorally challenged

-from Inner city, impoverished neighborhoods

-from foster homes and group homes

-from Immigrant communities or reservations

Amnicon is committed to providing the camp experience for those who need it most, and many cannot pay their own way. Our campership fund covers the cost to provide life-changing adventures for all.

Year-Round Ministry

Amnicon offers individual and group retreats for youth and adults alike at our secluded 700-acre site located on the south shore of Lake Superior, 15 miles East of Duluth-Superior.
