Council on Aging of Johnston County

To provide services that enable older persons to lead quality lives of dignity and independence.

The Council on Aging offers information, referral, and case assistance for seniors. In-home aide services offers assistance with personal care and light housekeeping. Transportation for the aged includes a county-wide transportation system to nutrition centers, medical appointments, and necessary shopping. The Council also offers home delivered meals, elderly housing, emergency response system, outreach, and senior centers. A Caregiver Support Program to include 2 monthly support groups, is also available. We also have several opportunities for volunteers in a wide variety of specialties.
