    Sponsors Organized to Assist Refugees is a division of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon and an affiliate of the international humanitarian organization, Church World Service. Since 1979, Sponsors Organized to Assist Refugees (SOAR) has worked to resettle refugees from all over the world, including Angola, Bosnia, the Congo, Cuba, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Somalia, the former Soviet Union, Sudan, Vietnam and elsewhere. SOAR offers comprehensive and compassionate resettlement and immigration/legal services to assist refugees and asylees in becoming self-sufficient, integrated members of the community.

    We are seeking volunteers to provide direct assistance to newly-arrived refugees.
