    About Us

The Parkinson & Movement Disorder Alliance, "PMD Alliance" for short, is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to providing opportunities for people to learn, live more fully and spark meaningful connections around them. We accomplish by providing programs and resources to person living with a movement disorder or those impacted by the disease, such as care partners, adult children, other family, friends and even the healthcare community who cares for them! More than one million people live with a movement disorder and with 90,000 new cases of PD each year, the need for support is greater than ever. As a progressive neurologic condition, people with PD and other movement disorders are dependent on treatments to support their movement disorder journey. As a progressive advocacy group, we form close partnerships with the companies who provide support and have relationships with the largest companies. We, however, are always on the lookout for organizations who are developing new and innovative treatments for the persons we serve.
