    Arlington Retirement Housing Corporation, nonprofit owner of Culpepper Garden, is an affordable independent and assisted living community for people age 62 and older. It is our mission to provide and advocate for high-quality, affordable housing, services and programs that allow lower-income older adults to thrive. We envision a community in which all older persons will have access to affordable housing and services that foster autonomy, dignity, and well-being.

    About Us

    Culpepper Garden is an award-winning, affordable community for low-income older adults over age 62. Our 346 apartments provide a high-quality, nurturing environment that allows older residents to age in place. Our assisted living wing, which accommodates residents as their needs increase, was the first of its kind in the United States and is still the only one in Arlington for low-income older adults. Each year, more than 100 volunteers and community partners provide activities and programs to improve and enhance the lives of our residents.
