Gordon Gives renews land and strengthens communities by creating and stewarding ecological gardens while providing hands-on training and environmental education.

Gordon Gives is a community-based nonprofit in Kokomo, Indiana dedicated to renewing land and strengthening communities through ecological gardening and long-term stewardship. We create and maintain community landscapes such as neighborhood gardens, educational planting areas, and public green spaces that provide beauty, environmental benefits, and opportunities for learning.

Our work focuses on hands-on projects where volunteers, apprentices, and community members can learn practical skills while helping improve local spaces. We believe that caring for land is a way to build stronger communities, develop useful skills, and create places people can be proud of.

Gordon Gives works with local residents, schools, faith organizations, and community groups to restore and steward landscapes over time rather than through one-time projects. Our goal is to create gardens and green spaces that remain healthy and meaningful for many years.

Through stewardship, education, and practical work, Gordon Gives helps connect people with the land and with each other.
