    Literacy Volunteers of Illinois is a statewide organization committed to developing and supporting volunteer literacy programs that help families, adults and out-of-school teens increase their literacy skills. LVI programs are conducted on behalf of staff, tutors and adult students, in five general areas - Training and Referral, National Service (AmeriCorps and VISTA), Juvenile Correctional Education, Public Information and Advocacy, and New Reader Leadership.
