  • About Us

StayRunning is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to the protection and improved well-being of runners. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of runners and promote positive mental health. When one participates in aerobic activity, endorphins are released in your brain, relaxing you and making you “feel good.” In addition, numerous studies show that aerobic activity reduces the chances of developing dementia, heart disease, and depression. Furthermore, running is directly correlated with improving mood, cognitive capacity, and productivity. We strive for our mission with two key programs. First, StayRunning hosts informational events— virtually and in person— that edify runners, of all ages, on crucial injury-prevention techniques, proper running form and motivating them to consistently run. To develop accurate content, we work with physical therapists around the area, to validate and recommend the information. Second, StayRunning inspires youth to start running through our youth advocation program. The four week program aims to introduce running as a fun game, and slowly transition into running as a workout. These events are hosted in both schools and YMCAs, with plans to expand into more youth centers when conditions permit.
