  • Mission

SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development.

    About Us

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is a national nonprofit advancing the Hispanic community in STEM through meaningful programming, leadership development pathways, and strategic partnerships. For over 50 years, SHPE has built a vibrant and inclusive community supporting individuals from students to seasoned professionals through mentorship, leadership training, and career acceleration opportunities.

We serve a diverse membership across the United States, providing access to scholarships, career development programs, mentoring networks, and signature events such as the SHPE National Convention — one of the largest STEM gatherings for Hispanic talent in the country.

Our values of Familia, Service, Education, and Resilience guide how we engage members, partners, and communities. Beyond building capacity, SHPE fosters belonging and connection across regions and chapters, ensuring members not only succeed in their fields but also give back as leaders and role models.
