The Houston Galveston Institute (HGI) is a non-profit organization that offers a unique method of collaborative counseling and postmodern therapy to individuals, families and communities of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
We base our approach on the belief that the client is the expert on his or her life and circumstances. Our job, as therapists, is not to dictate treatment, but to shape the process using the values, desires and needs of our clients. Through this collaboration, clients find new solutions and the strength to endure challenges and overcome obstacles.
