United Against Poverty

  • About Us

United Against Poverty (UAP) is a 26,000 square foot clinic and counseling center, cost-share grocery program and thrift store serving residents of downtown Orlando and beyond. Orlando’s UAP is a cutting edge not for profit organization focusing on collaborative partnerships with other area non profits, social entrepreneurship and efforts to offer Orlandoans living in poverty a hand up as opposed to hand out. In 2013, UAP was a recipient of over $1,500,000 in funding through City and County related Community Development Block grants and private donations allowing us to purchase and expand our facility to over 50,000 square feet.
