Situka Alliance Initiative is a Non-profit Social Impact Organization striving to build strategic structural and socio-cultural Institutions that promote deconstructing toxic, hegemonic precarious masculinity by increasing male involvement and participation in context of affirming the dignity of women, children and all humans.
"Situka” is a Luganda word which means “Raise Up”! It’s a call to ACTION for Men and Boys in Uganda to Increase their involvement and participation in Health and Gender transformative Programmes in order to provide safe spaces for women, girls and children from within their domicile communities. Situka Alliance Initiative (SAI) anticipates a society where men provide opportunities for self-esteem and dignity affirmation (SEDA) for all humans to thrive through the strategy “MEN INVOLVED”. Our Work relies on community owned resource persons (CORPs) as change agents and emphasizes “ABCD”: A=Affinity and sensitivity to wholesome holistic health for all; B= Body dignity affirming practices to bring to mind the need to avoid violent acts; C=Coalesce around competencies which ensure positive RMNCAH and economic outcomes; D=Dedicate efforts to avoid delay in accessing support for care.
