Art of a Child

Art of a Child’s vision is to see all children in the corners of Uganda thriving through quality education. We envision a Uganda with Literate, Confident, 21 st century citizens that will effect change for themselves, their community and their country.

Goal: The goal of Art of a Child is to create a world where every child receives the care, support, and opportunities needed to thrive, breaking the cycle of deprivation and enabling all young people to become active contributors to their communities.

Since our establishment in 2016, Art of a Child has been committed to addressing the deficit in quality education by passionately advocating for and delivering comprehensive and inclusive educational solutions for the children of Uganda. This commitment is manifested through our innovative S.L.A.S.H/G programming, which encompasses Sports, Literacy, Arts, Science, Health, and Gender Equity initiatives.

We serve children in informal settlements, low served schools, refugee settlements and rural areas through our own Community Learning Centers.

All our programs incorporate art for children because we believe children learn better when given a chance to reflect on lessons through art expressions.
