Founded in 1975, Pegasus Therapeutic Riding is a nationally recognized leader in providing equine-assisted activities and therapies to people with special needs. Pegasus conducts programs at its permanent 20-acre facility in Brewster, NY, and four privately owned farms in Pleasantville, NY, and Darien, Greenwich and New Canaan, CT, who host our programs one or two days a week. Pegasus annually serves approximately 225 students ages four and up who are challenged by physical, cognitive or developmental disabilities. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Pegasus relies on a team of hundreds of volunteers and raises more than 92% of its budget through its charitable programs.
