Mission
The mission of the Natural Reserve System is to contribute to the understanding and wise stewardship of the Earth and its natural systems by supporting university-level teaching, research, and public service at protected natural areas throughout California.
About Us
We need Weed Warriors! We protect an area of natural habitat along the coast in La Jolla. Because the area has a history of human disturbance, there are a lot of invasive plants - weeds - that outcompete native plants. The best way to help the native plants thrive is to weed out the invasive species by hand. We have a jovial group that does invasive plant management (weeding) every Friday morning.
