PEACE FOR PAWS OHIO

  • Mission

Peace for Paws Ohio is a 501(c)(3) organization created to assist with the homeless pet overpopulation in Ohio. Our mission is to provide education and financial support for spay and neuter efforts in rural areas, foster and adopt dogs from high-kill shelters, provide resources to shelters or humane societies who are caring for animals from large-scale rescues, support Ohio legislation for companion animal protection, and provide temporary pet food assistance for families going through financial hardship. This organization is made up of 100% volunteers.

    About Us

The organization primarily rescues animals from kill shelters in Ohio and surrounding states. Each animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, microchipped, heartworm negative and de-wormed prior to adoption. All animals are on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. Outside normal veterinary care, the organization also provides any additional veterinary care due to sickness or injury. The organization treats heartworm positive dogs and provides surgeries when necessary. We rely heavily on the generous donations of the public to help fund these efforts.
