Our Mission

To build a global spiritual community, rooted in profound love, which cultivates wonder, imagination, and the courage to act.

The Church of the Larger Fellowship Unitarian Universalist (CLF), a church without walls, is an online and by mail Unitarian Universalist congregation. We are a diverse community of over 3,000 members and friends world-wide, ministering to people of all gender identities and expressions, abilities, races, sexual orientations, and economic statuses. The Worthy Now Prison Ministry Program of the CLF offers spiritual resources to over 1700 incarcerated Unitarian Universalists. We believe that all are worthy of love, right now, just the way they are. Our staff is located throughout the United Sates and we maintain office space in Boston, MA.

Unitarian Universalism is a non-creedal religion focused on ethical living and spiritual deepening. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all people, and we lift up the interdependent web of all life. The Church of the Larger Fellowship seeks to connect Unitarian Universalists, deepen their spirituality, and support them in living with courage to act on our principles. We are passionate about our involvement in racial justice, the Black Lives Matter movement, prison ministry and the prison abolition movement.

While it is not generally required or expected that an applicant/employee identify as a Unitarian Universalist (UU) or be a member of a UU congregation in order to work at the CLF, all CLF staff members are expected to perform their job duties in accordance with UU and CLF values, principles and mission.
