Our artist-led residency program Dancing Classrooms(tm) supports educators’ efforts to transform their classrooms into spaces that nurture social-emotional skills. By taking students out of their comfort zone and introducing the art of partner dancing, we have the ability to create a level playing field that allows students to practice healthy decision-making as they are learning.

Over DCLI’s first ten years, the organization has grown from serving two schools to 23 schools in Nassau and Suffolk County. This steady growth is due to our high quality program delivery coupled with the recognition by school principals, educators, administrators and parents of the program’s essential value. They are the Company’s most significant advocates, and by sharing their belief in the transformative power of the program with their colleagues , the demand from new schools continues to grow.
