About Us

Holly Hill Farm is a certified organic vegetable, flower and herb farm with an educational mission to use the resources of the farm to grow healthy food in ways that protects the environment and to educate all ages about sustainable agricultural practices. The farm is managed by the Friends of Holly Hill Farm (FHHF), the non-profit educational organization that uses the farm as its outdoor classroom. Holly Hill Farm has been certified organic since 2002 and the FHHF was founded in 2004 to teach principles of sustainable agriculture that produce healthy food and foster stewardship of the land. Since that time, the FHHF has grown and now offers farm to school field trip programs, summer camps, year-round workshops for adults and families, nature walks, after school programs, farm to table dinners and more. We welcome many scout and other community groups, service learning groups from a variety of schools, worksites, and other organizations. We have a small staff of farmers who grow produce to sell at our farm stand, local farmers markets and several restaurants and cafes. The education team teaches at the farm and in 35 school gardens in 10 local cities and towns, including Boston which is 22 miles to the north. Our goal is to benefit local communities, provide healthy food, and educate people of all ages year-round about the practices of conservation and sustainable farming.
