Greater Hartford Retired Senior Volunteer Program
90 Retreat Ave
Adults are more active than ever. Contributing to your community through meaningful volunteer work is one way to stay young and keep active. The Greater Hartford RSVP offers the chance for adults 50 or better to learn exciting new things by fulfilling a need in the community. Based on your interests and experiences, we will find a position that creates a collaborative and rewarding experience for you and the organization or project you become affiliated with. Opportunities range from assisting CT visitors as a Bradley Airport Ambassador to reading one-on-one with a child.
RSVP volunteer A. Pianin has been serving for 9 years with the Consumer Assistance Unit as part of the Office of the Attorney General. He says, "It’s interesting to see the issues and scams that people get themselves involved in. As a volunteer advocate, we try to remain neutral and resolve the issues at hand for both parties. It is satisfying when the issues can be mutually resolved."
Like Mr. Pianin, your commitment and efforts will enable organizations to offer vital services and have a direct impact on those in need. BE the change you want to see in the world, starting today!
