    Our Mission: YouthForce develops low income and minority teens into self-directed learners, able to realize their personal and professional goals.

    Our programs: Through our multi-year sequence of Teamwork, Leadership and Career internships, low income and minority teens strengthen their personal, and professional skills, develop professional networks and goals, and meaningfully contribute to the work around them.

    In 2007, YouthForce’s internship programs - Employed 167 teens, provided over 17,600 hours of mentored employment - Served 31 high schools from 11 school districts across King County - Leveraged $130,000 in contributions to provide $165,000 for teens and their families

    YouthForce teens are: - 89% are minority - 63% speak languages other than English at home - 72% live near or below poverty, - 46% boys - 100% are doing their best in school, averaging a 3.1GPA

    Our impact: According to a program evaluation compiled by the Paul Allen Foundation, teens who participated in YouthForce programs demonstrate significant gains in their: • Communication Skills • Work Habits • Self Confidence • Ability to Interact with Adults
