InterAction Initiative Inc.

InterAction Initiative Inc. is an intersectional racial justice organization founded in 2015 led by and for Young People of Color (YPOC). Our mission is to activate and advance young people of color and their counter-narratives to build a more just, inclusive, and equitable society. At InterAction, we build YPOC to resist, heal, and grow by centering the development of their own counter-narratives as a critical step in advancing racial justice. We believe counter-narratives are a tool for undoing racism and systems of oppression. We provide a “counter-curriculum” to empower Young People of Color to cultivate their counter-narratives --undoing and unlearning the ways in which systems of oppression impact our lives & stories-- and grow as the next generation of racial justice leaders. Through our work, YPOC build a positive identity for themselves, a critical intersectional racial justice lens, and framework to build a flourishing life as YPOC.
