CALM is a Detroit-based nonprofit dedicated to creating safe, accessible, and culturally affirming spaces where Black women feel supported in prioritizing their mental wellness. Through community-based support circles, therapy access support, and restorative wellness experiences, we reduce barriers to care and center healing, connection, and self-worth.
We recognize that many women want support but face financial, structural, and cultural barriers that make care difficult to access. CALM exists to bridge that gap by offering community-based support circles, therapy access support, and restorative wellness experiences that meet women where they are.
Our work centers dignity, choice, and community. We believe healing happens in relationship, and that when Black women are supported, entire families and communities are strengthened.
CALM partners with local organizations, therapists, and wellness practitioners to expand access to care while building spaces rooted in trust, safety, and belonging.
