About Us

Happy Hands was established in 2009 with a view to preserve and revive traditional heritage by engaging rural and urban youth, and restoring dignity in crafts practice.

Our mission is to empower artisans, revive and preserve the traditional arts, crafts and culture of Indian tribes and to promote heritage education amidst youth.

We aim to:

a) empower artisans through building skill, and enterprise leadership, and encourage networking with urban masses; in addition to fostering the growth of young artists through Folk Art Learning Centers.

b) promote the heritage education through traveling museum exhibits, workshops and learning-oriented sessions/fellowships with i) schoolchildren, ii) college students, iii) young professionals

c) engage the public in folk/tribal arts to build value for the “handmade”

d) build collaborative platforms for the corporate, rural, and urban individuals to champion social change through the arts

e) enable artisans to create better quality and well designed products for the domestic and international market
