  • About Us

LNESC is a non-profit organization that obtains grants from a variety of sources such as United Way and The Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools to use for educational programs at local schools in Colorado Springs. Currently, LNESC is using a grant from the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools to run a mentor program at a middle school where demographics deem the students to be considered "at risk". The program matches first generation, low income students who are struggling academically with a mentor/role model from the community to meet on a weekly basis. Mentor matches discuss character development, drug/violence prevention, and academic support.
