    ORLT, a non-profit 501(c)(3) conservation organization established in 1984, has been instrumental in protecting many natural and geological features such as waterfalls, caves, significant springs, bluffs, forests, prairies, glades, rivers and wetlands. ORLT also preserves urban open space, agriculture lands, historic places and sensitive ecological sites protecting wildlife and endangered species. Through carefully designed programs of conservation and appropriate land management, ORLT empowers people to protect the natural resources of the Ozarks forever. The primary conservation tools are conservation easements and nature preserves.
