Katie's International Kids, Inc.

Put simply, Katie's International Kids seeks to foster a love for service to others in the hearts of fifth and sixth grade students in Prince George's County, Maryland. We do this in a variety of ways, the most impactful and far-reaching being an international service trip to the Dominican Republic where the students work directly with the Joan Rose Foundation to help bring relief to impoverished children. This truly allows the students to experience another culture and, hopefully, question their beliefs about their own entitlements and debate the true meaning of wants versus needs. In three simple words: Engage. Educate. Enlighten.
