Altsean-Burma

Altsean-Burma (Alternative Asean Network on Burma) is a network of organisations and individuals based in Asean member states working to support the movement for human rights and democracy in Burma. The network is comprised of human rights & social justice NGOs, political parties, think tanks, academics, journalists and student activists.

Our key activities are to produce briefing and other advocacy tools, run campaigns, and initiate strategic trainings that directly respond to the needs of Burmese activists. We are particularly known for our ASEAN-based advocacy work and our strategic work to support women's political participation in the Burma movement.
