Our Mission:
We give people a second chance by providing them with legal representation, bail assistance, reentry support, connections to social services, and the tools they need to succeed.
What We Do:
Florida Justice Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that addresses factors leading to disproportionately high conviction rates for the poor and people of color. FLJC connects low-income, first-time offenders, military veterans, and social justice advocates with pro bono defense attorneys and bail assistance. We also now have a wrap-around case management and mental health reentry program for returning citizens from prison in Broward County.
The Florida Justice Center wants to help people get out of jail and keep them out of the justice system permanently.
Who We Are:
FLJC is a small, but diverse organization. We are experiencing a period of rapid growth that is allowing us to help more people, faster than expected.
