Paving the Way Multi-Service Institute

Our mission is to stabilize and empower children, adolescents, adults, and their families so that they may strengthen their well-being, achieve their goals, and thrive in their lives and communities.

Paving the Way Multi-Service Institute (PTWMSI) is a nonprofit behavioral health organization based in Washington, DC, with a strong commitment to communities in Wards 7 and 8. We serve children, adolescents, adults, and families through outpatient therapy, psychiatric services, school-based mental health care, community support, and care coordination.

We recognize that mental health is connected to a person’s relationships, environment, and access to resources. Our team works with consumers, families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to address barriers to care and support each person’s goals. We emphasize compassionate, culturally responsive, trauma-informed services that respect individual strengths and experiences.
