About Us
A
Partnership for Change (APFC) is a 501(c) (3) private, non-profit
organization serving all of New Jersey. Our mission is to end the increasing problem of intimate partner abuse through the
provision of comprehensive prevention and education programs designed to stop
abuse before it starts and to empower people with practical information on how
to safely support victims they work with, work for, or know.
1 in 4 women and 1 in 3 teenage girls will be abused by an intimate partner in her lifetime, so it's likely that someone you know is affected. Our programs prepare anyone to play a role in helping victims become survivors.
APFC operates these programs:
- PowerBack, a teen dating abuse education initiative
- PREP, a training series for law enforcement professionals
- IPVA (Intimate Partner Violence Advocate) Certification Series, a five-part course for social workers, LPC's, nurses and other human service professionals
- Workshops on Request: We can tailor any class to meet the needs of any business, community group or faith-based organization
