Tufts Health Plan Foundation
The mission of the Tufts Health Plan Foundation is to promote healthy lifestyles and the delivery of quality health care in our communities.
To better support the communities we serve, Tufts Health Plan launched the Tufts Health Plan Foundation in 2007. The creation of a Foundation fulfills a long held desire of James Roosevelt, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Tufts Health Plan to use the assets of the health plan in a way that brings demonstrable improvement to longstanding health care issues.
The Foundation's focus is Healthy Aging - improving the lives of adults 60 and older. Through the programs we fund in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, we hope to elevate the well-being of older adults so as to enable them to live healthier lives. The Foundation funds over $2 million annually in grants to more than 60 Massachusetts and Rhode Island nonprofit organizations.
Within Healthy Aging, the Foundation has four grant program areas: Vibrant Lifestyles, Fall Prevention, Intergenerational Collaboration and Caregiver Support. More information on the foundation's grant programs can be found on our website at http://www.tuftshealthplanfoundation.org/grant_programs/grant_programs.html
