Work Activity Center
With over fifty years of service, the Work Activity Center delivers day, residential, employment, and health services to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by actively providing opportunities for independence and individual growth.
The Center provides three main programs: Day Services, where individuals come to the Center each day to learn work, social, and healthy living skills; Employment Services, where the Center provides a spectrum of opportunities from in-house jobs and training to community-based supported employment; and Residential Services, where individuals are encouraged to live self-sufficiently with assistance from Center staff. The Center also provides Recreation Services, granting access to a wide range of activities that offer the possibility of learning, improved physical fitness, and fun, in a safe environment. Finally, the Center provides Transportation Services, allowing access to all these critical programs, as none of the Center’s clients drive due to their disabilities.
