LAKE OF THE OZARKS WATERSHED ALLIANCE

LOWA participates in many activities benefitting the health of the Lake and the lifestyle that it provides. We partner with DNR to facilitate important water studies that give us insight into our water quality, and to provide DNR grant support for individuals taking advantage of programs that allow them to install landscaping that reduces runoff and reimburses responsible septic tank pump-outs. LOWA also organizes trash pick-ups to beautify the Lake and reverse pollution, as well as various workshops to educate the public about the things they can do to keep our healthy Lake beautiful and healthy. We assist with many of the major boating events at the Lake, such as Lake Race and Shootout, to provide services such as safety patrol and trash clean up, making sure the events stay safe and clean for our community.
