  • About Us

Nevelson Chapel at the iconic Saint Peter’s Church in Midtown Manhattan is undergoing a comprehensive renewal with completion planned for late 2020. A masterwork of 20th century sculptor Louise Nevelson, Nevelson Chapel is as historic as it is a vibrant living space — one of a few immersive artistic environments, and the only remaining example of the artist’s work in its original location. A $5.75 million campaign is underway for art conservation, an environmental management upgrade, programming and endowment led by the Nevelson Legacy Council, a group of art, philanthropic and cultural leaders. Funders include private, foundation, corporate and government entities. Peer organizations include internationally-regarded cultural institutions.
