We are committed to providing services to survivors of domestic violence within a trauma-informed, survivor-center, and anti-oppression philosophy.

Domestic violence abusers use a systematic pattern of power and control perpetuated against another person. Domestic violence affects individuals in every community, regardless of their age, economic status, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, or nationality. Survivors and victims of domestic violence have a place at the Huntingdon House. Our organization offers a warm and safe environment. We make it our priority to provide a strong support system and a consistent community for you. Remember, you are not alone and it is not your fault. There are options and resources available to you at Huntingdon House. We will listen to your needs, assist you with exploring options, and advocate for you to find the best option available.'

Our services include: 24/7 hotline, emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, counseling, advocacy, and more.

24/7 Hotline

Huntingdon House Emergency Hotline is operated 24/7 by trained domestic violence counselors in order to provide information and services at all times.

The hotline operator will provide: Crisis Intervention: If there is an upset in the balance of your life in any way, Huntingdon House’s counselor advocates will help you with whatever they may need. You might reach out because you are feeling triggered in any way. If something has been a catalyst in the way you are feeling or what is happening to you, do not hesitate to contact us. Domestic Violence Counseling: Our counselor advocates provide in-office or over the phone counseling for domestic violence. We adapt to whatever works best and is most convenient you. Safety Planning: Our purpose is to talk to you about how to prepare for possible scenarios that occur in your day-to-day life within or after leaving a situation involving domestic violence. Each safety plan is individualized for each caller. Our counselor advocates can tell you who to reach out to if something goes wrong, how to get you where you need to go, what to have or bring with you, and so forth. Our goal is to provide the safest plan for your needs. Safety planning is the foundation of what we do. Information and Referrals to Other Resources: Huntingdon House recognizes that we do not provide all the resources a victim or survivor may need when dealing with domestic violence. Therefore, we make referrals to therapy centers, housing authority programs, and other organizations within the community to provide you access to the resources you need.
