    Since 1946, the Houston Golf Association has organized high-profile professional and amateur golf events in the Greater Houston area to support its mission to make a difference in the lives of youth through its charitable programs.

    About Us

    Since 1974 the Houston Golf Association (HGA) has generated more than $64 million dollars for local charity. When the Shell Oil Company became title sponsor in 1992, more than $60 million of that total was raised through the Shell Houston Open and put to work in the community through HGA’s charitable programs. Net proceeds from the Shell Houston Open support core charities that provide critical programs and resources to young people and their families.
