About Us
Let Them Help Themselves Out of Poverty (LTHT) is a UK registered community regeneration charity (1127387). Our aim is to undertake community development through education , health and the improvement of communities in the developing world. We achieve this by enabling communities to deal with day to day challenges that prevent them from becoming economically active.
We work in Ruhanga a remote village in South West Uganda
Our objectives are
- To provide a platform to publicise and assist in fund raising for projects that are of benefit to rural communities in developing countries, particularly in Africa.
- To ensure that children that are educated at the school we founded in SW Uganda leave with sufficient skills that will enable them to gain employment or set up an enterprise of their own
- To create employment and income generating activities for local people
- To improve the health of the local community
- To build the capacity of community Based Organisation
- To improve the welfare of communities in which we work
