Children's Dispensary, A Place to Be Me

The mission of the Children’s Dispensary is to enhance the learning and enrich the lives of people with special needs. We are a unique organization that meets our communities’ need for positive social, educational and recreational activities for persons with developmental, physical and cognitive disabilities. We believe all individuals are entitled to full life experiences. Our programming is designed to benefit each client we serve emotionally, physically and socially.

Our goal is to provide a place where each individual can be themselves without the barriers that may exist in traditional settings, thus naming our programs “A Place to Be Me.”

More than 90% of our clients come from low-income families who rely on us to help their child develop life skills and a social network of friends, while also enhancing cognitive learning and improving health.
