Since 1991, The Landmark Trust USA has been committed to preserving historic properties through creative, sustainable uses for public enjoyment and education. We believe that to better understand history one must experience it. To this end, we wake up every day in pursuit of our shared goal of providing unique ways for people to experience history through the meticulous preservation of historic properties and the development of creative ways for the public to enjoy them.

The Landmark Trust USA’s philosophy of sustainable stewardship relies on the income from short-term vacation rentals to preserve and maintain the integrity of each distinctive building. Each stay at one of our properties supports our nonprofit mission, bringing new life to heritage buildings. The Landmark Trust USA is the sole owner of the historic Scott Farm, our for-profit commercial subsidiary. With shared leadership, staff and facilities, we work closely to develop a sustainable agricultural model that respects the natural character of the land and achieves market viability.
