Centre for Women's Development and Research (CWDR)

CWDR works to empower women and girls in Chennai through community-level interventions and advocacy campaigns to improve their socio-economic situation through rights and leadership-based training. To reach and mobilize these women and girls CWDR has initiated a trade union for domestic workers (Manushi), a single women's association (Maithri), and a adolescent girls association (Snehidhi).
