  • Mission

There are thousands of children who enter Utah's child welfare system each year due to being abused or neglected by their caregivers. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) give these vulnerable children a voice by advocating for their safety and well-being. Our Vision is to be leaders in child advocacy, and to provide the highest level of representation to children and their best interests.

    About Us

CASA was created in 1977 by a judge in Washington who wanted to make sure he was making decisions that were in the best interest of the child. Utah CASA has been serving child victims of abuse and neglect for 25 years. CASAs work closely with the child's Guardian ad Litem attorney who is their legal representation in court. CASAs provide the child's attorney with current and relevant information that they have gathered through investigation and time spent with the child.
