Shine Foundation

Shine is a NYC-based nonprofit on a mission to empower homeless survivors of domestic violence through financial literacy. 88% of survivors return to their abusers, mostly due to financial pressure, and we are here to change that. Working in emergency shelters, we provide free financial education to address the day-to-day needs of survivors. Our tips and tools help survivors build credit, create savings, and search for employment so they can get back on their feet and leave the abuse for good.
