Festival Opera's mission is to educate, enlighten and entertain; to preserve and advance the operatic art form, to make opera accessible to a diverse population, and to assist young artists, directors, designers and technicians in their pursuit of careers in the operatic field.

As we enter our third decade, Festival Opera remains committed to bringing professional opera productions at affordable prices to residents of San Francisco's East Bay communities. The third-largest opera company in the Bay Area, Festival Opera is a showcase for talented young artists and directors.
