About Us

Seattle Jewish Chorale welcomes employees, volunteers, singers, and audience members of all backgrounds, beliefs, and orientations.

Seattle Jewish Chorale is an auditioned community choir whose mission is to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds with the beauty and diversity of the Jewish experience by performing works from across the spectrum of the Jewish choral repertoire. Through its educational and entertaining performances, Seattle Jewish Chorale preserves, celebrates and advances the cultural heritage of world Jewry, and fosters unity, understanding and respect within the Jewish community, and between Jews and the wider community.

Founded in the fall of 2008, Seattle Jewish Chorale is a volunteer, not-for-profit, multi-generational choir, which performs under the stellar direction of Mary Pat Graham. Seattle Jewish Chorale is the only community-based (i.e. non-synagogue affiliated) Jewish choir between Vancouver B.C. and San Francisco.

Seattle Jewish Chorale is a Partner Artist project of Shunpike, a 501c3 non-profit art service organization, whose mission is to strengthen the Seattle arts community by partnering with small and mid-size arts groups to develop the business tools they need to succeed. http://www.shunpike.org/

Seattle Jewish Chorale is a member of the Greater Seattle Choral Consortium which promotes the choral art in the greater Seattle area through cooperation, public awareness, and performance.http://www.seattlesings.org/
