HATTIE PEARLS

We began this ministry ten years ago, providing breakfast and sack lunches out of the back of our car. We serve those in our community that are homeless.

Three years ago we began our summer showers program, where we provide showers every Saturday from the beginning of June until the end of July. We also prepare over fifty lunches each week for the community day center. From January 1 - September 1, 2014, Chicken of the Sea received nominations for almost 4,000 individuals and nonprofits across the United States, all deserving of a $10,000 award in recognition for their service to their community. After independent judging, HATTIE PEARL'S for serving the homeless was one of the ten winners resulting from those nominations. In the near future we hoping to obtain a utility vehicle to convert into a small kitchen in order to be able to provide more nutritious meals.
