Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit, fair trade retail store that provides vital, fair income to people in the developing world by marketing their handicrafts, selling their products, and telling their stories in North America. Our store works with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care and housing.
The mission of Ten Thousand Villages is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships.
Our Harrisonburg store has been in the Shenandoah Valley for over 20 years.
