  • Mission

The mission of the Augustine Literacy Project-Charlotte (ALP) is to improve the reading, writing, and spelling abilities of young aspiring readers.

    About Us

The Augustine Literacy Project (ALP) is dedicated to improving the reading skills of K-2 students in high-need schools. ALP trains and supports volunteers to implement planned lessons that are designed using proven instructional methods. Volunteer tutors meet with one CMS student two times a week for 45 minutes - either in-person or remotely. Join us to make a lasting impact in a child's education. Your time, their future.
