Mission
VISION: Mindful Gardening to Preserve Planet Earth MISSION: The Williamsburg Botanical Garden and Freedom Park Arboretum showcases plants that support pollinators and wildlife; is a resource to educate visitors about environmental conservation including plant biology, the importance of native plants, prevention and control of invasive species; and demonstrates sustainable gardening practices for a typical garden in the Virginia Peninsula area.
About Us
The Williamsburg Botanical Garden and Freedom Park Arboretum is located on 2 acres within Freedom Park. Since its opening in July 2006 it has changed and improved thanks to thousands of hours given by dedicated volunteers who tend the plantings and provide organizational structure and support to support the mission that encompasses environment education.
